Who is the Messiah? Chapter 2

Everything New

In Revelation 21:4-5 (NIV) says that.... ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
v5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

When I read this....I get excited! I can literally visualize this beautiful man....glowing in crimson light. He’s dressed in all white, sitting on this enormous golden throne.....SMILING and he assures us that everything is fine....don’t worry. You see...I’m here to fix everything...and make brand new..... He even goes as far to say.....write it down, trust me cause it’s true!

Isaiah 43:19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.

I love the fact that Jesus came to this earth to make us new...to change a curse that has been on us since the beginning of time!!! With all the bad news we hear everyday.....thank God there is hope! I keep hearing people say... ‘You know this is the end time’ and the world is falling apart. There has been flooding up north, but severe drought in Texas. The Heat wave that has hit us this year, like a blaze of fire that won’t go away, has been the most agonizing summer ever. I can’t remember, in my lifetime, hearing about temperatures over 102......but 108 and higher....Texas have broken every record in history........Japan hasn’t been able to catch a break for awhile and if the Tsunami can’t get them.....their nuclear plants will. Famine, disease, WAR, WAR; oh did I mention WAR? Earth quakes, Hurricanes, etc.....and our political system is completely setting us up for the world to cry out for ‘ONE’ world government and a savior. Did you know that they micro-chip our animals now and I read in the news that they have started doing this, in some states, in children. They have to swipe their hand over a light, when they enter the school building. It’s true!!! One of the teachers reportedly said, it’s wonderful! We are so close to having someone make us take ‘the mark’ of the beast and won’t even realize it............will children even have a choice?

I have people ask me all the time, if all the bad news in the world scares me. I would hardly be human, if it didn’t feel a bit unsettling at times. But to be honest with you, I’m excited. The more this world falls apart, the closer I am to glory! Then maybe people will start praying – Come Lord Come! I know I don’t belong here....I belong to something higher! Our Messiah will come....He promised us this!

My dream
I had a dream one night that was so real, I will never forget it.....I was standing out in the middle of a road. I was all alone.....not a single person in site. I looked up in the sky and something was coming toward me. I couldn’t quite make it out at first, but the closer it got, the more it looked like an angel. I was paralyzed by this image in the sky....it drew closer and closer to me. Then, it suddenly became crystal clear that it was the most enormous angel you could ever imagine and it was driving a chariot.....there were so many white horses, I couldn’t begin to count them. The angel was majestic and white and the most beautiful, glorious being....I stood there in awe and didn’t want what I was experiencing to ever end. I hoped the angel was coming for me. I realized that something was following the angel and the chariot....it looked like tiny little angels in white robes.....they were shiny and full of glitter and gold and glory. They got closer and closer and the tiny beings in robes were people marching as though they were gliding on a cloud of white glitter. They were singing something and so happy...I mean, I literally felt there happiness. They finally appeared before me and the enormous angel being pulled on the reigns of the chariot and all the horses stopped. It sounded like a roaring thunder and I was utterly stunned at what I was seeing. The angel stood up and stepped aside and a man was sitting there, smiling at me. He was in a white linen robe and had long brown hair, a beard and was the most beautiful and pure man I had ever seen. I realized.....it was Jesus and I started crying......all I could say was....YOU CAME! YOU REALLY CAME! He said, of course my child, I promised I would!!!!!

When I awoke, my face was drenched with tears. I believe, without a shadow of a doubt, the Lord made a special appearance just for me. God sent that dream and I have never doubted whom my Lord and Savior is since......Jesus is the Messiah and He will return and it will be soon!!!! I got a personal promise and Jesus gave that promise to me, to share with you......

It says in Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

So who did prophet Isaiah write about? Some were waiting on an Earthly ruler to appease and please religious leaders, but he showed up a servant! He could have called 10,000 angels to parade and rescue and set him up here on earth. But he chose to serve the human race and die for our sins, so that we could live. The messiah that I believe in was foretold in the Old Testament and clearly describes what happened to the Man of God that showed up 2000 years ago.
Isaiah 42
The Servant of the LORD
1 “Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him,
and he will bring justice to the nations. 2 He will not shout or cry out, or raise his voice in the streets.
3 A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice; 4 he will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth. In his teaching the islands will put their hope.” 5 This is what God – Yahweh says— the Creator of the heavens, who stretches them out, who spreads out the earth with all that springs from it, who gives breath to its people, and life to those who walk on it:
6 “I, Yahweh, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you
to be a (New) covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, 7 to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness. 8 “I am Yahweh; that is my name!
I will not yield my glory to any other or my praise to idols. 9 See the former things have taken place,
and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you.”
10 Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise from the ends of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, you islands, and all who live in them. 11 Let the wilderness and its towns raise their voices; let the settlements where Kedar lives rejoice. Let the people of Selah sing for joy; let them shout from the mountaintops. 12 Let them give glory to the LORD and proclaim his praise in the islands. 13 The LORD will march out like a champion,
like a warrior he will stir up his zeal; with a shout he will raise the battle cry and will triumph over his enemies. 14 “For a long time I, (Yahweh) have kept silent, I have been quiet and held myself back. But now, like a woman in childbirth,
I cry out, I gasp and pant. 15 I will lay waste the mountains and hills and dry up all their vegetation; I will turn rivers into islands and dry up the pools. 16 I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them. 17 But those who trust in idols, who say to images, ‘You are our gods,’ will be turned back in utter shame.
Israel Blind and Deaf
18 “Hear, you deaf; look, you blind.......................and see!
19 Who is blind but my servant, and deaf like the messenger I send?
Who is blind like the one in covenant with me, blind like the servant of Yahweh? 20 You have seen many things, but you pay no attention; your ears are open, but you do not listen.” 21 It pleased Yahweh for the sake of righteousness to make his law great and glorious. 22 But this is a people plundered and looted, all of them trapped in pits or hidden away in prisons. They have become plunder, with no one to rescue them; they have been made loot,
with no one to say, “Send them back.”
23 Which of you will listen to this or pay close attention in time to come? 24 Who handed Jacob over to become loot
and Israel to the plunderers? Was it not the Sovereign Yahweh, against whom we have sinned? For they would not follow his ways; they did not obey his law. 25 So he poured out on them his burning anger, the violence of war. It enveloped them in flames, yet they did not understand; it consumed them, but they did not take it to heart.

CAN WE DENY HIM? HOW CAN WE READ ABOUT THE PROPHESYS FORETOLD AND NOT FALL TO OUR KNEES AND REPENT?? Jesus gave us a gift....HIS PRECIOUS LIFE and so many continue to trample on that gift with arrogant pride and disrespect. Every single prophecy of the coming Messiah came true and yet we still don’t believe? We still question if Jesus was really the one......I believe this world, which has become so violent in bloody wars have been given over to it for mere unbelief. It was prophesied! He was sent and the only blasphemous sin that cannot be forgiven is denouncing His son and ‘not believing’ and ‘not’ professing that Jesus Christ is Lord!

Isaiah 52:13-15
The Suffering and Glory of the Servant
13 See my servant will act wisely; he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted.
14 Just as there were many who were appalled at him his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any human being and his form marred beyond human likeness—
15 so he will sprinkle many nations, and kings will shut their mouths because of him.
For what they were not told, they will see, and what they have not heard, they will understand.

Isaiah 53:1-12
He had no beauty
1 Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Sovereign YAHWEH been revealed?
2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
3 He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. 4 Surely he took up our pain
and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted.
5 but he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to our own way;
and YAHWEH has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed and afflicted,
yet he did not open his mouth;
he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.
8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away. Yet who of his generation protested?
For he was cut off from the land of the living;
for the transgression of my people he was punished.
9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked and with the rich in his death,
though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.
10 Yet it was YAHWEH’S will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
and though YAHWEH makes his life an offering for sin,
he will see his offspring and prolong his days,
and the will of the LORD will prosper in his hand.
11 After he has suffered,
he will see the light of life and be satisfied;
by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many,
and he will bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore I will give him a portion among the great,
and he will divide the spoils with the strong
because he poured out his life unto death,
and was numbered with the transgressors. For he bore the sin of many,
and made intercession for the transgressors.

Jesus loves us so deeply that He offered his life to cover ALL sin. He did this so that we could be brand ‘new’!

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

How do I become ‘New’ in Jesus?

Isaiah 59:20 "The Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who repent of their sins," declares the LORD.

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Acts 2:38 Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

I invite you....right here....right now......if you do not know Jesus or if you have doubt whether or not you have truly believed before: Just tell Him...let Him in....He sees your heart and hears your words. Say, Lord, I am so sorry for not believing. I repent for every sin that I have ever committed against you. Lord Jesus, I believe that you died for me so that I might live a ‘new’ life. I commit my life to you. I ask you Lord to change me....transform me into your likeness and deliver me from all my infirmities. Make me white as snow! I ask You now to show me Your ways and lead me to where You need me to go. Lead me to a place of baptism and Thank you Lord for giving me the gift of salvation!

Now....go .....and sin no more........live BRAND NEW!!!

John 9:25 He replied, "Whether he is a sinner or not, I don't know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!"
